We welcome OGS Principal Jennifer Bencivengo to NMS on Friday, January 31 at 8:45 am to discuss The Anxious Generation, Jonathan Haidt's bestselling book. Haidt investigates the nature of childhood, including why children need play and independent exploration to mature into competent, thriving adults. 

Dr. Bencivengo will open a conversation about what parents, teachers, and schools can do to address the social, emotional, and mental health needs of our children through better monitoring and limitation of digital tools and access. You will be provided with strategies to foster conversation at home around these topics, resources for further research, and low-tech/no-tech alternatives to enhance the home learning environment.
